DOODLE EARTH

We can learn a lot from kids. This project, built as a prototype for Google, gives us a glimpse of our differences and similarities
through the drawings of children around the world.

Each day, kids would be asked to draw one universal topic that they know about, for example: what they had for breakfast.
From this collection of simple drawings, we get a little glimpse of life from their perspective

Topics like 'what is under your bed?' can reveal what kids fear or imagine.

And special editions like one for the Olympic games show our united excitement.
Here, we see what happens when a user selects a specific country.
This is an alternate grid view where to the globe view.

A simple drawing canvas and palette was designed to accommodate (tiny!) kids' hands.

Once the drawing is finished, it is plotted on the globe in relation to their IP address.
They can then share their work with friends, family, and leave their POV for people
from all over the world to see.
